Prison Services June 9, 2010
Welcome to the Prison Services at Philadelphia FIGHT!
FIGHT has several programs designed specifically for HIV+ people who are currently incarcerated and recently released. We aim to
- Support people with HIV during their incarceration,
- Help people through the often lonely and confusing transition back home, and
- Empower people to serve as peer educators and advocates in the under-served communities hardest hit by the AIDS pandemic.
We have several programs for people with HIV who are currently incarcerated and ex-offenders with HIV. Please scroll through menus on the left to see our programs for you While Incarcerated and when you are Coming Home, as well as our Resources on prison health care issues.

While Incarcerated
While HIV+ people are incarcerated, we offer support and advocacy services.
Care Outreach
Care Outreach staff is available to visit anyone who is HIV+ in the Philadelphia Prison System. We will advocate for you if necessary to make sure you get the healthcare you need while incarcerated. Care Outreach will also help you start planning for coming home, so that you have a doctor and a safe place to stay when you are released.
Prison Health News
We publish Prison Health News, a quarterly newsletter for prisoners. Prison Health News is mailed to over 1,200 people throughout the country, and distributed in several state prisons' law libraries/medical clinics.
Coming Home
When HIV+ persons are released from jail, we have several programs to help them.
