Support Groups

Weekly
 

Spirituality for Wellness Group            Mondays, 1:30pm                            5th Floor

This group will discuss individual, personal and family issues related to HIV and pulling from the 12 Steps and basic texts of recovery. This group is open to all people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds. The first Monday of each month is open to family members. Safety Counts Group Sessions             Mondays 3 pm                                            2nd Floor

Safety Counts is a harm reduction program for people who are actively using drugs. Join us for education, individual goal-setting, support, and building a social network. To enroll, contact Leah Hilsey at 215-985-4448 x233.

 

Women’s Support Group                         Wednesdays 10 am                                 2nd Floor

This support group is for women who are living with HIV.  All HIV+ women are welcome. This is a high-spirited, safe space for women. Contact Terry Trudeau at 215-985-4448 x104.

 

Project TEACH Alumni Group                Wednesdays 3 pm                                     5th Floor

This weekly meeting is for graduates of Project TEACH. This is one of the most consistent HIV groups in the tri-county area, with speakers from various organizations. For more information or a list of upcoming speakers, contact Val Sowell at 215-985-4448 x164.

 

Reaching Out Group                                 Fridays 12 pm                                           2nd Floor

This group is for graduates of TEACH / TEACH Outside, people who have been in prison, and other people looking to share ideas and support. Join us, stay in touch, have a space to talk, get support, and have fun! For more information contact Teresa Sullivan at 215-985-4448 x137

 

Monthly

Adherence Group                                      Every 2nd Monday, 11 am                      5th Floor

Do you have questions about taking your meds? Do you have side effects? Need some advice?  Come to the Adherence Group!  FIGHT’s adherence counselor answers any questions you have about your meds. For more information, contact LaNelta Nobles at 215-985-4448 x116.

 

Long-Term Survivor Support Group    Every 1st Monday, 6 pm                            5th Floor

Sponsored by Roche Pharmaceuticals, this group is for people using Fuzeon, but all HIV+ long-term survivors are welcome. Contact Tom McCoy for more information 215-893-0369.

 

FIGHT New Client Orientation                 Every two months                5th Floor

All new clients of Philadelphia FIGHT can attend our Orientation at any time after they become clients. We discuss the programs of FIGHT, and share fellowship and food. To find out when our next Orientation is scheduled, contact Val Sowell at 215-985-4448, x164.
