Internship and Volunteer Opportunities

Philadelphia FIGHT AIDS HIV Resources

Are you interested in contributing to the community? Have some time on your hands? Want to meet people? You can accomplish all the above by being a volunteer at Philadelphia FIGHT. Philadelphia FIGHT also offers internship opportunities for students. Internships are available on an unpaid, for school credit basis.

Contact us to get involved!

Your time is one of the most valuable gifts that you can give us. Spend a little time or a lot with us. Every little bit helps. We can use your help a couple of hours a month or a couple of hours a day.

Everyone has skill that can help us deliver services to people affected by HIV/AIDS. Everyone brings with him/her special skills and a unique personality that enriches the agency and helps in the FIGHT against HIV/AIDS.

Volunteers can help in a variety of ways:

  • Accounting
  • Clerical
  • Data entry
  • Greeter/Host
  • Library Services
  • Mail preparation
  • Minute taking
  • Outreach
  • Public Relations/Marketing
  • Reception
  • Special events

Here's what some former FIGHT interns and volunteers have to say about their experience.

"I am very thankful for the time I was able to spend at FIGHT and often think of the people I met along the way. I appreciate the diversity of the environment and nothing could change the outlook that lends a person. Thank you for having me for the semester and letting me soak it up. This would be a worthwhile internship for anyone."

"I was never sitting around with nothing to do and I always felt like the interns' work was noticed and appreciated."

"I want to work in a non-profit focused on women's issues or on HIV/AIDS. This internship allowed me to focus on both of those things simultaneously. I feel like this was such an educational experience for me."

"I enjoyed the people at FIGHT. Naturally, each person was unique in their own way and each person provided an enriching experience for me, one which I know I could not have gotten anywhere else."
